Yalda Celebration 2025 (جشن شب یلدا)
Yalda Night: A Celebration of Light and Renewal
Yalda, or Shab-e Yalda, is one of the most ancient and cherished Iranian festivals, celebrated on the longest night of the year (the winter solstice).
It marks the end of autumn and the symbolic triumph of light over darkness, as the days begin to grow longer afterward. Families and friends gather together, staying up all night until the dawn.
Join us to celebrate this wonderful tradition in a night of:
- Reading Poetry: Especially the poems of the great Persian poet Hafez.
- Student Presentations
- Music Performances
- Dance Performances
- Family Friendly activities
- Dinner, dessert and Iranian sweets
- Storytelling
Yalda is a beautiful reminder of hope, the value of family, and welcoming the season of renewal.
