Meet Our Founders

Arya Rasouli
Arya is a career technologist at Johns Hopkins University with a M.S. in Biotechnology-Bioinformatics. He has over two decades of experience in cancer specific information technology, but Arya is not your typical nerd. He has a passion for music, sciences, languages, literature, and creative work in general. Arya has a firm belief in service and that education must be accessible and affordable to all.
Mitra Akhavi
Mitra has a M.S. in Information Technology Management from UMBC. She has lead various teams and projects in both public and private sectors as a part her career. She is an excellent manager who is particularly skilled at bringing people together and organizing community events. Mitra has a particular interest in the education as she a mother of two and has spent an early part of her career teaching Mathematics.
Mohamad Yazdanpanah
Mohamad is a passionate education advocate with Master's degree from UMD college park in Physics and is active in the world of engineering. Mohamad has successfully founded and managed technology based startups in renewable energy sector. He is an enthusiast in early childhood learning and development as well as children education in different stages and is eager to contribute to his local community.
Sara Romani
Sara has an excellent academic record and an unwavering passion for education. She is an accomplished researcher who is committed to pursuit of knowledge and discovery. She holds a PH.D in Microbiology from Shahid Beheshti University and a graduate degree in Physician Assistance studies from Hofstra University. As a mother, Sara strongly believes in the role of early childhood education, diversity and friendship through community in healthy social and psychological development of children.
Farnaz Azimi
Farnaz is a spirited and passionate educator, with a teaching journey that spans across four diverse countries and over a decade. Armed with a bachelor's degree in English translation and a master's degree in education, she's currently navigating the exciting realm of a double master's degree in teaching and instructional design from UMBC. Together with her husband, raising their triplets in a household that serves as a harmonious bridge connecting two distinct languages and cultures. Her aim is to ensuring her children embrace their Persian heritage and confidently navigate the world. Her roots in education run deep, stemming from a childhood surrounded by a family of educators. She subscribes to a teaching philosophy that views learning as an ever-evolving adventure. She believes her mission is to spark in her students the flame of independent and autonomous learning.
Boshra Vaez
Boshra Vaez, holds a Ph.D. in Persian Literature and Language. She is a graduate of University of Tehran and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, where she immersed herself in the rich tapestry of Persian literature and language. She conducted research to understanding the typology of women's writing in the press, shedding light on the diverse voices shaping the literary landscape of Iran.
Boshra has a passion for literature which she shared with her students as an adjunct professor in courses ranging from modern poetry and prose to critical literary analysis, literary theory, and children's literature. She also holds a certificate in teaching Persian as a second language to foreign learners from the Saadi Institute which allowed her to find a wider audience from diverse cultural backgrounds. As her life journey, she strives to foster a greater understanding and appreciation for the rich literary heritage of Iran.
